Where there were once dirt roads, canneries, railways, a packinghouse and cigar factory, there are now beautiful waterfront parks, public art, museums, galleries, performance venues, and most importantly, great eating establishments! This is the perfect tour for locals and visitors wanting to learn about Kelowna’s history while enjoying current foodie delights.
Please arrive a few minutes early as we start at 1:00pm sharp.
Parking available at the Library parkade (Ellis St) or north of the meeting location in the Waterfront Park lot (Water St).

Pho Soc Trang Vietnamese Cuisine
Pho Soc Trang Vietnamese Cuisine is a small casual dining restaurant. An exotic delight on Ellis Street, Dawett Fine Indian Cuisine brings a little “spice” to the tour. The delicious butter chicken, fresh naan bread and unique cultural dishes have earned Dawett the highest awards as the best Indian restaurant in Kelowna. Although new to some tour participants, Dawett’s flavourful array of foods has turned many guests into big fans of Indian cuisine – come taste why!
The Bike Shop Café & Catering Co.
Healthy and delicious food options are served up in a delightful bicycle themed atmosphere at the Bike Shop Café & Catering Co. Owners Kim and Darren take pride in serving up wholesome food, prepared fresh daily with a focus on great customer service. Tours enjoy a sample of their favourite menu items along with a refreshing homemade lemonade – “comfort food in a relaxed atmosphere.” This stop on the tour is a real bell ringer!
La Petite Maison
French and Italian specialities served in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. La Petite Maison is a hidden jewel in the Cultural District. Inside this “small house” you will experience a very special take on dining – communal tables, multi-course dinners, personal service and a BYOW (Bring Your Own Wine) policy. As Chef Geof says “We serve more than food, we serve a dining experience!” Merci!
The perfect way to end a food tour – a sweet treat at Bliss Bakery! As the 2019 Gold Bakery for Best of Kelowna, Bliss is a great final stop on the Kelowna Kravings tour. The team at Bliss, along with owners Darci and Barry, love good food and love sharing it with their customers, and they make everything in-house from sweet to savory. A delicious way to say our goodbyes!
The Laurel Packinghouse
Celebrating its centennial this year, the Laurel Packinghouse, a designated heritage landmark, is the oldest and largest standing packinghouse in British Columbia. It houses the Okanagan Wine and Orchard Museum, the Laurel Gift Shop, as well as a dramatic, versatile rental venue. Original wood, brick and lighting fixtures create a unique atmosphere to explore the Okanagan’s rich, tasty past and present.
